SwedenThe land of Swedes |
Country and People"Sweden is a kingdom of 449,000 km2 with some 7,000,000 inhabitants. It is divided into 25 districts ('Län'). The southern and eastern coast of Sweden are washed by the Baltic Sea; the western coast by the North Sea. Sweden is bounded by Norway and to the extreme north by Finland. The foreign traveller in Sweden is immediately aware of the prosperity which reigns throughout the country and of the solidarity of its population. The nation lives principally by industries (wood, iron, steal), beside agriculture and forestry. The cleanliness and the prosperity of the farms mostly woodbuilt cannot fail to be noticed by the passer-by. They are generally painted white and red."
Quote from travel guide
And yes, they did spell it steal, not steel, so don't blame me... |
